Yoga Poses to Kickstart Your Practice

Yoga has become a common way to gain flexibility, strength, and mental awareness. Elevate your arms toward the sky, palms facing each other. This pose aids stability, enhances endurance, and stretches the chest and hips.

4. Pose of the Child

This pose is a resting posture that provides a subtle stretch for the back, hips, and thighs. Start on your all fours, then sit back on your knees and reach your arms forward, lowering your forehead to the mat. It’s ideal for pausing between intense postures or quieting your thoughts when feeling stressed.

5. Pose of the Tree

Tree Pose is a beneficial balance pose for yoga novices. Stand tall, shift your weight onto one foot, and place the sole of your raised foot on your lower leg or calf (avoid the knee). Join your hands in front of your chest or elevate them towards the ceiling. This pose strengthens your legs, boosts balance, and improves focus.
